HIPAA STATEMENT

While WonderHealth is a technology company and not a healthcare provider, WonderHealth executes privacy and protection procedures to safeguard protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH). WonderHealth provides a secure, HIPAA and HITECH compliant, data collection and delivery platform that allows, users, healthcare professionals, and their staff, to organize and transfer important health information.

WHAT IS HIPAA?

HIPAA passed by Congress in 1996 to ensure the continuity of health benefits for all individuals. Title II of the HIPAA regulations require healthcare providers to establish and follow procedures and practices that ensure the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) when it is transferred, received, handled, or shared.

WHAT IS HIPAA’S IMPACT ON WONDERHEALTH?

Since all PHI and other sensitive data is stored on your device in encrypted form, disclosure of your PHI is 100% under your control, and you are solely responsible for the protection for your PHI. WonderHealth is not a healthcare service provider and operates primarily as a repository and transfer system for your PHI. WonderHealth is required by HIPAA and HITECH to facilitate the protection of your PHI by you and your healthcare providers.

WonderHealth meets its HIPAA and HITECH compliance obligations by ensuring all PHI is only stored in an encrypted form on the user’s device for transfer to and decryption by an authorized recipient with WonderHealth’s proprietary compatible software. WonderHealth employs multi-step login processes and current standard randomized encryption to protect your PHI.

WonderHealth is dedicated to facilitating the privacy and security of its customers’ information and we do our best to ensure that our Apps are consistent with the current HIPAA and HITECH compliance standards. We are on the forefront of the legal climate. We are prepared to implement any new compliance requirements that might arise and can implement any changes in the law quickly.
